has completed the following course:

Bacterial Genomes: Antimicrobial Resistance in Bacterial Pathogens

Wellcome Connecting Science

This course covered some of the mechanisms of antibiotic actions and bacterial resistance to antibiotics. The course demonstrated the laboratory, molecular and other advanced approaches and techniques for the detection and characterisation of AMR genes to accurately identify resistant strains. Role of genomics in tackling AMR for research, diagnosis and surveillance was demonstrated using freely available web tools. The significance and challenges of AMR for global health were also discussed.
