Welcome to the course
Welcome to Using AI Technologies for Business Planning and Decision-making. This open short course will introduce you to the main Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and will look at the role these technologies play in supporting business leaders in their planning and decision-making.
In the first week of this course, you will explore how ML and AI can be used in the analysis of data. In the second week, we will look at the different sources that could be used for gathering this data and examine how data is received from and feeds into the different stages of analysis.
Some of the tasks in this course require you to read a relevant journal article or blog post. A PDF listing all additional readings is available from the download area of the Review the course step.
Before starting this course, however, we thought it would be interesting to see how learners feel about AI right now. We have put together five questions for you to consider. There are no right or wrong answers to these questions, so select the ones that are closest to your current understanding.
We will be revisiting these questions at the end of this short course to see if what you have learned has persuaded you to change your views on the use of AI for business planning and decision-making.
Who will you be learning with?
