Skip to 0 minutes and 1 secondHello, my name's Sarah and thanks for attending Week 2 of the Access to Higher Education MOOC. So in Week 2, we've covered a lot of information about how to apply to university. We talked about reading and checking your personal statements, and hopefully you will have had advice from some of the people on the course about your own personal statement. We hope you've enjoyed this part of the course. And we've had lots of questions in about how you can get your prior qualifications recognised. We understand that this can be quite difficult for people who are forced migrants.
Skip to 0 minutes and 30 secondsAnd there's an organisation called NARIC, which you can read more about and Step 2.2, which will give you much more guidance on the best ways that you can get your qualifications recognised in the UK. And also, we've been looking at how you can improve your English skills in Week 2, and it's been really great to see that some of you have been taking the online placement test so that you can see what level you are. And congratulations to the student who managed to get C1 and is still improving his English. Keep going, it's really great work. Finally in Week 2 we've looked at scholarships.
Skip to 1 minute and 3 secondsI think that's in Step 2.2 as well, so if you want to know more about scholarships, go there, there's a big link of scholarships and you'll be able to find out about all the requirements to see if you're eligible for any of them. And next week will be our final week, it's Week 3. In Week 3, we'll be looking at study skills. So imagine, you're at university now, what do you do? What you do if you've got a problem? How do you study? What are the differences between studying in your country and studying at higher education in the UK?
Skip to 1 minute and 30 secondsSo it's really crucial to understand some of this stuff, so get cracking in Week 3 and have a look at that. And finally, if you do have a long time before you can go to university, in Week 3, we'll talk about how you can use that time wisely. There's lots of online courses that you can do, such as this MOOC that you're doing right now. So, thanks for studying in Week 2 and we look forward to seeing you next week.
