COVID-19 Intubation Simulation
This video by Dr Arnold Somasunderam and Dr Rose English, trainee anaesthetists at UCLH, demonstrates a simulation of an intubation in a patient with COVID-19. The intubation checklist and guidelines used in the simulation were developed locally but based upon the consensus guidelines described in the previous step.
The video is best enjoyed with the subtitling on – as it happens in real life, wearing PPE makes communication more difficult.
