Meet the educators who created the course.

In this video, the educators introduce themselves briefly.

Jameela Alsalman is the lead educator on this course and based in Bahrain. She is a consultant in Infectious diseases and geriatric medicine and a chairperson for Bahrain’s geriatric committee, HIV team and national antibiotic stewardship committee.

Diaa Alrahmany is from Egypt but currently based in Oman. He is a senior pharmacist involved in AMS practice and research, conducting surveillance studies as well as in vitro modelling related to bacterial resistance.

Faryal Khamis is based in Oman. She is a senior consultant Infectious Diseases, a chairperson Antimicrobial stewardship Committee, a chairperson infection Prevention and control committee and head of the Infectious Diseases Department at the Royal Hospital.

Laila Alawdah is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. She is a pediatric Infectious Diseases Consultant at Children’s Specialized Hospital, King Fahad Medical City. I have specialized in Antimicrobial Stewardship and in infections of the immunocompromised host.

Mushira Enani is based in Saudi Arabia. She is a physician (MbChB, FRCPE, FACP, FIDSA) and Infectious Diseases Specialist with long clinical experience. She is interested in Quality Improvement, Antimicrobial Stewardship, and Medical Education.

Nesrine Rizk is based in Beirut, Lebanon. She is an Infectious Disease specialist and currently the chair of the Antimicrobial Usage Committee at the American University of Beirut Medical Center.

Souha Khanj is based in Lebanon. She is a professor of medicine, head of the ID division, chair of the ICP, co-director of the AMS program at the American University of Beirut Medical Center, and consulting professor at Duke University, NC.

Khalid Eljaaly is based in Saudi Arabia. He is an assistant professor & infectious disease/antibiotic stewardship pharmacist at pharmacy faculty, King Abdulaziz University and honorary research fellow at University of Arizona, USA.
