Skip to 0 minutes and 6 secondsWelcome to the third and final week of antimicrobial stewardship in wound management. We hope you've enjoyed the course so far and have reflected on your learning of antimicrobial stewardship and management of wound infection. In this week, we're going to focus on techniques to implement effective antimicrobial stewardship in a health-care setting and correct and accurate documentation. We'll look at some case studies to see how important it is to have a good knowledge and practice in a health-setting, and more importantly, how to implement change into your practice area regarding antimicrobial stewardship. We hope you enjoy this week. Don't forget to ask us questions, interact with other learners, and discuss your thoughts and experiences. Enjoy the week.

Welcome to week 3

In this video, Professor Karen Ousey welcomes you to the final week of the course.

In week 2 we looked at the application of AMS practices and this week we’re going to have a look at how you could implement these practices in your own healthcare setting - making sure the program is effective and has correct documentation. We will go through two in-depth case studies, so make sure you comment on the steps with your thoughts and ideas, and read what other people have said too.

It is really important to have good knowledge and practices in a healthcare setting, and this will be demonstrated over the next week.

We hope you enjoy week 3.
