Skip to 0 minutes and 27 secondsHello and welcome to the sixth and final week of our course “Antisemitism: From Its Origins to the Present.” Over the past two weeks we’ve examined antisemitism in the contemporary world, discussing and analyzing its main expressions and the spheres from which it emanates. We saw how today, antisemitism appears in several forms, which are often closely related and interconnected. Traditional antisemitic tropes and stereotypes, such as blood libels, and modern ones, such as conspiracy myths, continue to exist, changing in accordance with the major occurrences and events of the times. We also saw how new manifestations of the phenomenon were formed, concentrating on Holocaust denial and distortion and on anti-Zionism.

Skip to 1 minute and 13 secondsDuring this last week of the course, we will continue focusing on our world today, examining the ways in which antisemitism is expressed, and the complexities that arise when attempting to identify its more blurred manifestations. We will also explore one of the major spheres in which antisemitism, together with other forms of hate, can be found - the Internet and social media, and will conclude this week with the ways antisemitism is confronted and dealt with in various arenas today.
