And today I will focus on one part, in my opinion is quite interesting. It’s from EU research project is called Horizon 2020. And it actually had 51 projects under the strategy. And this strategy is unlocking the potential of aquatic the living resources. It actually its goal is to manage sustainable developement, and maintain aquautive living resources. Uh, as far as possible from the, I mean Therefore, of course their focus on that European ocean.

This project I’m talking about is Smartfish 2020. It is actually four year plan that was especially in early 2018. How AI Combines with Sustainable Fisheries

According to the research, more than 40% of all fishery products for human consumption worldwide are from aquaculture. However, due to the impact of global climate change, global warming has led to more serious problems in the sea.

Aquaculture fishery is mostly dependent on climate. Typhoons, wind and cold, natural disasters can cause aquaculture industry great loss. So, many researchers are devoted to inventing a better environment control system for aquaculture.

For example, if we have an automated control system for water quality, oxygenation, real-time information on animal health, feeding status, environmental health. These can help the manager to prevent fishes from dying because of extreme weather changed. Hence, AI applications can help to avoid the crisis of economic loss.
