Conclusions of AI in Fisheries

This will conclude this week’s speech video. Prof. Wu concludes SMARTFISH H2020 goals and their results.

In summary, the project uses artificial intelligence and machine learning methods to automatically process and analyze the catches on fishing and research vessels, seabed morphology and biomass on the seabed. They also use a new strategy for automatic data processing and analysis of seabed morphology and biomass on the sea bed. The SMARTFISH systems are tested and demonstrated in several EU fisheries. This system can help the fishing industry and fisheries managers and stock assessment scientists.
