Introduction to training and learning strategies

Training and learning are important aspects of adopting Building Information Modelling (BIM), as they enable the team to acquire new skills and improve existing competencies.

As we know, BIM is centred around technology. However, just as critical to the process is how we collaborate, the standards which form the foundation of the technology and the ways in which we optimise the organisation and exchange of information.

The ever-changing technologies and processes that support BIM mean that teams of the future will need to be trained and ready to practice the knowledge needed within the architecture, engineering and construction industry.

The challenge here is to explore how organisations can create effective strategies to implement effective training for their staff.
