Focus in more detail on bioterrorism related outbreaks

In Week 3, we focus in more detail on bioterrorism related outbreaks and how they are identified. We look at an important example of bioterrorism that occurred in Russia many years ago. We will also introduce you to other types of outbreaks that can occur when bioterrorism agents are officially handled by government and defense authorities.

Suppose a government authority is conducting research to defend against bioterrorism or to create the capability to engage in biological warfare? What might be some of the risks associated with that?
