The significance of the BRICS

The BRICS nations have progressively and significantly contributed to the steady and consistent growth of the world. However, despite the many market opportunities they have created for global businesses, they have been found to be susceptible to risks and volatilities, which call for cautious and careful consideration when making investment and business decisions.

In this section therefore, the focus is to explore and understand the nature and scope of some of these challenges and risks.

Your task

Read The Guardian 2016 article entitled ‘Has the BRICS bubble burst?’ by Simon Tisdall and evaluate some of the challenges discussed.

Given the complexities of these challenges, provide a list of three comprehensive recommendations that can be adopted by a global business you are familiar with, in addressing some of these challenges.

Don’t forget to have a look at other learners’ comments. If you can relate to a comment someone else has made, why not ‘Like’ it or leave a reply? Remember, you can filter comments in a variety of ways including ‘Most liked’ and you can also ‘Bookmark’ comments.
