What will this course cover?
Welcome to this Coventry University online taster course.
This course is part of the program in Cross-Cultural Management, part of the online BA in International Business (Top Up) degree.
To get the most out of the course, you should complete the assigned tasks, take part in the discussions and share your thoughts with your fellow learners.
Before we start our learning journey, let’s consider a fundamental question: have you experienced the impact of cultural differences in your daily life? How did you deal with them?
Cross-cultural management is a field based on theories and research from cross-cultural psychology, international business, organisational behaviour, and human resources.
This course aims to give you a grounding in cultural diversity and how to manage it in the workplace.
By participating in this course, you will:
Gain a global perspective on the impacts of culturally diverse workforces on organisations
Have the opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge of different management cultures and the necessity of operating effectively in an intercultural or multicultural environment
Be given the opportunity to develop the skills needed to work confidently in a culturally diverse environment.
