Skip to 0 minutes and 1 secondIt makes me really happy to see young people who, in any of the care options and the process they have been through, to still be able to look positively forward in life. This work makes me happy, because in the first place, I'm professionally a social worker, and it's about helping people. Of course, there is a vicarious trauma that we usually heard saddened stories and something like that. But the very purpose of this job is helping people. So that really makes me happy. What makes me very happy about my work-- it's that it is a privilege, but also, it is a big responsibility. I like my work so much that I don't feel it is a job.
Why I love my job
When we were developing this course we asked some frontline workers in different countries what makes them happy about the work they do to support unaccompanied and separated children.
In this video you will hear from Christina Baglietto, Yibeyin Hagos and Gema Jiménez telling us why they love their job .
