These suggested articles from the IPCC report of 2013 (WG1 AR5) will give you a more in-depth background on the topics covered in the video in step 1.4:

For an introduction to natural radiative forcing you should study chapter 5.2 “Pre-Industrial Perspective on Radiative Forcing Factors”.

(Chapter 5 also gives an introduction to paleoclimate archives which will be the topic of next weeks lecture.)

For a review of solar and volcanic forcing you should study Chapter 8.4 on “Natural Radiative Forcing Changes: Solar and Volcanic”.

(Chapter 8 also gives an introduction of anthropogenic as well as natural radiative forcing in general, parts of which will be covered in video in step 1.9 of this week.)
