This expression describes four generations under one roof, including parents, sons and daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

It is reasonable that parents should bring up their children. In return, parents can enjoy support and care from their children when they are older instead of living in home for the elderly.

Nowadays it is not uncommon for old people to live in home for the elderly. However, it is hard for the senior to accept this new pratice in small cities.
