We’ve come to the end of the course - we hope you’ve enjoyed it. Before we suggest some ways for you to continue your learning, let’s review the key messages for Week 3:

  • Climate change will challenge certain wine growing areas due to heat and drought, while other areas will be favoured by warmer temperatures.

  • Soil health is paramount for growing any crop or pasture and there is a need to increase soil health and quality sustainably to ensure future production.

  • Adaptations in the wine industry can, for example, include relocating vineyards, shifting to new varieties, flexibility in production, efficient irrigation, or changes in the management of the vineyard.

  • Knowledge of weather and climate data can help to adapt agriculture to (future) changes.

  • Consumer preferences are crucial for the development of agriculture.
