Effectuation vs. causation

In 2010, Saras Sarasvathy explained the logic of effectuation in a TEDx talk (by googling you can find many more videos of her!). In this talk she explains in non-academic terms how all kinds of successful organisations, ranging from Starbucks to the Grameen Bank, have used effectual logic during their development.
