Skip to 0 minutes and 9 seconds A son just told me that his mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s so I gave him my book and he read through it. And he told me when he went to visit her, he got to listen to her stories over and over and over again. And he was able to adjust and be flexible. And he said what was such a delight at the end of the conversation, his mom looked at him and said, and how is your mother? And he responded so beautifully, my mother is wonderful.
Story: Importance of Creating Joy
This story illustrates a moment for both someone with Alzheimer’s and her family member. Even though they don’t share the same reality, they can share the same moment of joy.
