Skip to 0 minutes and 10 secondsTo me, creativity is an expression of self it’s when someone has an idea and they follow it through to create something It can be something functional it can be something just for fun or something just to be beautiful but I think creativity is something that is born in the mind but it’s important that it’s really created Creativity for me in business as well as in art it means that you use the resources that you’re given or that you have in an new and and useful way or even create new resources from them And for something to be creative it has to be easy to use as well so if it’s too complicated it’s not creative enough In my opinion I think creativity is the ability to make new things or think of new ideas I define creativity as a process or an outcome which is either original in it’s form or innovative So by what I mean is it doesn’t necessarily have to be the product only but also the process from which you derive the actual product later on So what is creativity?

What is Creativity?
The notion of creativity is a highly subjective one, and people may have vastly different ideas about what it really is. Certain people may say that the design of the Apple iPhone was creative, others may not. Some may consider a piece of performance art as creative, others may not.
In this course, it is not our intention to give you a “textbook” definition of creativity, on which to base your subsequent thinking processes. We would like to invite you to form your own definition, and in doing so, reveal to yourself what preconceived ideas you may have about creativity. For example, do you believe creativity is something people are born with, which cannot be learned or is it something that can be developed later in life?
We aim to challenge these preconceived notions and help you form your own definition of creativity so it may grow and change throughout the course. We will begin this process by opening up some questions to you that you may discuss in the section that follows.
Please watch this video with an open mind, and share your responses with your fellow students in the comments!
