It has been decided that he will be prosecuted, and this week we will see his case go to trial. We will consider what the trial is for – what question is it seeking to resolve? We will look at the various roles of those involved – returning to the issue of the role of lawyers, but also looking at the crucial roles played by lay people. And we will also look at the law which is being used to prosecute Joe, and why it might be controversial.
