Creating Google Analytics tracking code to insert in a website

It is relatively easy for the owner of a website to sign up for Google Analytics, and create the tracking code that will enable you to learn about your audience.

At the end of this course you will be told precisely how to add tracking code if you have your own web site. For the moment you do not need to sign up to Google Analytics and create tracking code, and we recommend that you don’t. This step is intended to show how it can be done.
