Generating new users for our test website

In this activity we are all challenged to create new visitor data for another test website. The objectives of the exercise are:

  • double the number of visitors to the website
  • decrease the bounce rate
  • add as many new user countries and cities as possible

To achieve this we ask you to do the following:

(i) Access our second website as many times as you can yourself over the next few days using a variety of devices - notebooks, mobile phones, tablets. Control-Click to open this link in a new window:

https://cs-dc.uk/flga21.html

(ii) Send the URL to family and friends who may be interested in this experiment. If you feel comfortable doing so ask them to visit the website.

Question: one of the pages on the test on the test site linked to above shows a sunset over the water in an Italian city - can you guess which city it is? The answer will appear later in the week.

What do you think?

Is this an interesting experiment? What results do you think we might generate using Google Analytics? Could you imagine a way of increasing the number of visitors to a website in your organisation that could be tracked by Google Analytics?
