Sources, means and strategies for collaboration between knowledge and policies (first part)

In this note, Enrique Mendizábal, director of onthinktanks.org presents some of the main keys to bear in mind in order to use knowledge in favour of public policy impact and information.

Mr. Mendizábal affirms that when choosing the best instruments, means or platforms to promote a commitment between knowledge and policies, we must remember that the key work is dialogue. He invites us to review the objectives formulated by researchers in accessing opportunities to inform policies and how to be prepared for the time when the necessary conditions will be given. He proposes placing emphasis on audience specifics, with questions on profiles, interests and logic.
