From knowledge to policy

In his participation in this Module, Fred Carden develops some thoughts on the relationship between public policy processes (rarely simple) and the research intended to have an influence on them, based on his experience in project evaluation in his capacity as IDRC’s Director of Evaluation and set out in his book From knowledge to policy.

Carden systematizes some key strategies and some recommendations arising from what he has learnt from 23 cases in different parts of the world and which he offers to this course as an input to its debates.
