Summary week 4

This week we have looked at how we can enable people to use the web.

You have learned how to make web pages accessible and also tried out basic techniques to perform conformance and/or user tests.

Although there are guidelines, test tools and methods available, many web pages still contain barriers to some assistive technology users e.g. those who are blind using screen readers or have keyboard only access. There are issues for those with cognitive, sensory and physical disabilities who, not only, face navigational problems but, also, challenges with the content itself.


What are the possible reasons for this situation?
