What can we realistically do to address the digital divide?
In this short course, you will have the opportunity to learn about the digital divide, what information poverty means, and debate the ways artificial intelligence could help in closing the gap by providing greater access to opportunities.

- The difference between access to resources and access to opportunities provided by digital resources
- Different campaigns/efforts to close the digital divide and limit information poverty

Who is the course for?
This course is useful for anyone wanting to fill the STEM skills gap by also closing the digital divide, providing access to opportunities to help individuals and those who are from socio-economically disadvantaged households to learn how to use the internet, find appropriate information to help climb the social ladder and pursue self-improvement.

Dr Mark Elshaw is a lecturer and researcher at Coventry University. His teaching and research interesting include AI, neural network, AI ethics, biological inspired computing system.
