What’s on for next week?

Watch Dr Chie Adachi outline what you can look forward to in Week 2 of 'Transforming digital learning'.

Next week, we’ll dive deeper into the key elements of design to help us answer the big question: ‘How do we transform the future practice of digital learning?’

This week we met some diverse, global digital learners and explored the changing landscape of education and what this means for the future of digital learning.

In Week 2, we’ll spend more time thinking about learner-centred approaches to designing learning (experiences) for these learners and how, as professional digital learning practitioners, we can most effectively leverage the affordances of digital technologies.

Building on this, we’ll look at the notion of service design as a framework that allows us to map the full journey of learners, identify gaps or potential problems and how to solve these by drawing on the diverse skills and expertise of different types of digital learning professionals.

Your professional practice plan

Throughout Week 2, you’ll have further opportunities to reflect on your current practice and produce a professional practice plan to inform your ongoing development as a digital learning expert.

This activity will bring together all your learning throughout this course by prompting you to consider how you can apply the theories and frameworks we’ve covered in ways relevant to your own professional context.

The purpose of this plan is to guide, improve and – perhaps even – transform your future digital learning practice in tangible, practical ways.
