Skip to 0 minutes and 5 seconds Mobile technology is all around us. From mobile phones to tablets and smartwatches, all of these portable devices have transformed the way we live our lives. How many times a day do you use your mobile devices? Maybe you use your mobile to take a photo at dinner with your friends, or check the weather on your tablet, or even just use your smartwatch to count your daily steps. Chances are you’re using all these devices from the moment you wake up until the moment you go to sleep. In the first part of the course, you will discover how mobile technology has transformed over time, helping us stay connected with each other and with the world around us.

Skip to 0 minutes and 47 seconds It allows us to communicate faster and develop new, innovative approaches to daily activities and business processes. Did you know there are now over 1.96 million apps in the Apple Store and over 2.9 million apps in the Google Play store? With mobile apps growing in popularity, it is important to understand how they are designed and built. Think about the last app you used on your phone. Did you use it to like a friend’s photo on a social media app? To watch a film on a streaming app? Or to play a fun new game? What about the app you use the most? Have you ever thought about how it was made?

Skip to 1 minute and 36 seconds Later in the course, we will look at the different stages of app development, from the design stages to the various app-building approaches that you can use to create a great app experience for your users. If you’re curious to learn about the growth of mobile technology, the different elements of app design, and how to build an app, then this course is for you.
