Defensive thoughts

People often have defensive thoughts, worries, anxieties which keep them from interacting with others who are different from them. What suggestions do you have for getting people to be less concerned about themselves and more concerned about and interested in others who are different from them? What are some concrete things you can do in your life to bring you into greater contact with people who are different from you in certain ways?

Please share your thoughts, ideas and suggestions in the comments and then respond to two to three other learners’ comments.
