Ways to confront

It is not always easy to confront others when they make a joke that plays on a stereotype about gender, ethnicity, or disability. Maybe a coworker makes an anti-gay or a racist remark. We may want to confront but do not know how to do it. We may be afraid of how the other person will react.

What is your experience with confrontation? What are your suggestions for speaking up? What are a few ways to confront that are helpful and may avoid negative reactions from others? Please share your comment and join the discussion with your fellow learners.
