Now you have a view of where you want to get to, it's how you execute, so execution is the key to success. It is unlikely that your experience will be a long straight line, there will be many hurdles and bumps on the way as you go through. But what we want to do is focus on the purpose of this course which is to help you overcome those hurdles. What I want to talk about, is those hurdles to getting started?

Skip to 0 minutes and 31 secondsSo at the beginning of the journey what are the things that are stopping you actually going forward and releasing some of that value. And what I'm seeing is three themes that come out. So the first one is value, a lack of focus on value. The next one is leadership, lack of accountability for someone to actually make something to happen. And the third one is foundation. Do I have that foundation capability? Do I have the data? do I have the people? do they have their processes? So lets look at value first of all, so the types of questions you're gonna get asked there, what is it I'm doing? What value am I trying to release?

And probably more importantly, why now? and these are the sort of questions that are driven by not understanding that the cost is worth it, to release this value, and a fear of the risks that lie ahead. So usually in this space, if you can get your head around that value as worth paying for, that mitigates the cost and start to address the risks. From a leadership point of view, what we're starting to talk about is like who, so who will lead this? and how will they do that? starting to answer those questions, So who's going to wake up in the morning and make this happen?

Skip to 1 minute and 46 secondshow are they going to do it? how are they gonna pull it all together? and really what you're looking at here has become overcoming the inertia and the prevarication that you'll get in an organization. These are the reasons why not to do it. This needs to be the voice that says these are the reasons why to do it. And finally, foundation. You start again about who, from a people perspective, who's gonna do the do? How are they going to do it? What are they gonna use? And where is this capability going to be based? and where is pretty key, because what you're talking about here amongst other things, is your operating model. Who's gonna do this?

Skip to 2 minutes and 19 secondsone of the things that stops people is overthinking the end operating model what you need to understand is, what do you have in place to get you on this first journey? This first step of the way, then you can look at the bigger operating model from a much more informed position. So that's what we're gonna look at in a bit of detail, about overcoming these early hurdles of value, leadership and foundation. No value, no leadership, lack of foundation. But we're not going to ignore these ones here, but what we're gonna do is, again, get more tips from the experts that you've met throughout the course already. So what are their tips for successful execution?
