Understand due diligence legal requirements with EIT Raw Materials

Responsible business conduct and due diligence in supply chain management practice have become a prerequisite for any skill set, career path, or job opportunity in the business sector.

On this four-week course, you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of due diligence in mineral value chains from a European perspective.

You’ll develop your knowledge of the legal requirements in this area as well as sustainable supply chain management and responsible sourcing.

Explore risk assessment and management as well as stakeholder engagement

You’ll start by unpacking different perspectives of due diligence to understand how stakeholders work together.

During the second week of the course, you’ll take a deep dive into the business case, focusing on risk assessment and management, stakeholder engagement, and reporting.

Armed with this knowledge, you’ll know how to outline business cases that demonstrate benefits and added value.

Gain practical skills in supply chain management

During week three, you’ll learn from real-world cases to see successful and impactful implementations of due diligence in practice.

This practical exercise will help you gain industry-ready due diligence skills from both a business and policy point of view.

Learn how to improve sustainable sourcing

On the final week of the course, you’ll look to the future to discover how Europe shapes the global due diligence agenda.

You’ll also learn how you can use your skills to contribute to corporate and societal short and long-term impacts, such as the ability to identify and assess due diligence gaps and how to improve sustainable sourcing through easier identification of sustainability risks.
