Hopefully you've made a good start to producing your specification, and don't worry if you haven't as yet. Remember, of course, you're welcome to revisit materials from the previous parts of this course should you find it helpful. OK, so now that you've established your learner name and story boarded the learning you would expect to take place, thinking about the blend of pedagogy, too, it's time to turn your attention to the quality of your RLO. To understand and appreciate the significance of this, we should ask ourselves the questions-- why is quality important?

As highlighted earlier in the course, it is important not to underestimate the role of community involvement in the initial design stages of RLOs. This is also true of quality checks, which should take place prior to any resource creation. So to allow you to undergo a similar experience, we present an opportunity for you to submit your specification, and we will again be encouraging you and your peers to comment and provide some useful feedback. Thinking back to the Aspire framework, the resulting specification forms the basis of the implementation stage.

Introduction to Week 5: quality

Welcome to the final Week. Following on from the previous week, in which you’ve looked at how you can turn your storyboard into a specification, you will now have an opportunity to submit your specification. In doing so, you will then have the chance to give feedback to others on their specification and consequently be able to view feedback comments provided on your submission.

It is important to understand that you are not required to implement an E-learning resource for this course. However, we do look at considerations for the creation side of things later in this week.

Firstly though, we look at some important aspects around resource ‘quality’; specifically why it is important and why particularly for resources in the healthcare sector.
