Image of course layout with focus on the word schoolIn this week, we focus on the school – the heart of the inclusive education project.

In the first week we talked about the importance of the value of social inclusion in society. Last week we considered the child with a disability in the family. Now we are tackling the school itself, and we thought it was appropriate to invite a Non-Governmental Organisation, Inclusive Education South Africa to share their expertise. By way of example, we showcase inclusive practice in Pinelands North primary school. We hope that during this week you will identify some available tools to begin to create and implement more inclusive practices. For teachers, we will include some useful strategies if you want to start transforming your own schools.
