Carbon footprint: The amount of CO2 (carbon dioxide) that is released into the atmosphere from a particular organization, community, process etc.

Circular economy: A concept where resources are kept in use for as long as possible, extracting the maximum value from them whilst in use. Then products and materials are recovered and regenerated at the end of each service life.

Exhaust gas: Gas that is emitted as a result of fuel combustion (e.g. diesel).

NOx: A term referring to nitric oxide (NO) and nitrogen dioxide (NO2).

Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM): A company which produces equipment that might be marketed by another manufacturer.

Particulates: The particulate component of the diesel exhaust. It includes aerosols and diesel soot.

Rock bolt: A steel rod that is inserted in a hole of a rock formation (drilled into roof or wall) providing support to the roof or walls of the cavity.
