The concept of Gibbs Energy or Gibbs Function was introduced in the previous unit. In this article, it is used in the derivation of the isentropic relations for an ideal gas. The isentropic relations connect together the before/after ratio of temperatures, volumes and pressures related to a process, which are useful in thermodynamic analysis.
