At the University of Reading
At the University of Reading we offer a range of courses that will help you to improve your English language skills before you start studying at an English-speaking university:
The Pre-sessional Programme is designed to help you improve your English language level before you start university study. If you have an IELTS score of 4.0 or higher, this course will help you to reach the required English language level for acceptance on an English language medium degree.
The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is for international students without British A level qualifications or the equivalent. The course provides the academic training, language and study skills you’ll need to start an undergraduate degree at an English-speaking university.
You may like to visit us on one of our next Open Days on 15 and 16 June.
If you are interested in taking further qualifications in English language, you may be interested in the University of Reading’s widely respected Test of English for Educational Purposes (TEEP). Alternatively, you may also like to consider taking IELTS tests at our campuses in the UK and Malaysia.
Please take a moment to complete our post-course survey to help us understand more about who’s taking the course and what we can do to improve it.
We wish you the best of luck in pursuing your academic career, and perhaps we will see you here at the University of Reading!
