We close every week with some recommendations for further reading we think you might enjoy. Feel free to share your own links to articles, videos and other media that might of interest to your fellow learners!

We’ve talked a lot about populism this week. The New York Times recently visualised the popularity of these populist, right-wing parties in Europe.

This week ended with you imagining a new Europe, inspired by Ulrike Guérot’s writing on a “European Republic”. There are, of course, also other possibilities, and here’s one: Jan Zielonka, professor of European Politics at Oxford, discusses the idea of a “neo-medieval” Europe.
