Giving instructions

Choosing appropriate instructions for an activity.

One of the classroom management skills we talked about in the previous step is giving instructions. When English language classes are conducted in English, teachers have to give instructions for activities in English even though their learners may not have a very good command of the language. This means that teachers need to use language which is natural but clear, simple and familiar to learners so that they can understand what to do.

Task
