We want you to get the most out of this course. For discussions or questions about the course content, try using the comments section where you can help each other out. We also encourage conversation during the current Week’s activities, which is when our Educator and Mentor teams will be present to enhance your learning experience.

If you’re new to the course, here are some tips you may find useful to help you prepare:

  • Take a look ahead to see what is coming up in the following Weeks.

  • Each video also has a transcript which you can read by clicking ‘view transcript’ found underneath each video.

  • As you work through the course, mark each Step as complete to help keep track of your progress.

  • You’re encouraged to share your thoughts and ideas with each other in the comments area found at the bottom of almost every Step.

  • If you see something you like or find interesting, let the Learner know by clicking on ‘Like’ or ‘Reply’ to respond to their comment.

  • Hold down the shift key when clicking on a web link. This will open the link in a separate window so you don’t lose your page that you’re working through.

  • Look out for any further reading which can be found at the bottom of the Steps under the heading ‘See also’ and supporting documents listed under ‘Downloads’.

  • If by chance you spot any technical issues or would like to make a suggestion relating to the platform, you can let the team know through the support tab at the bottom of the page.

If you have any questions about how the site works, you may find FutureLearn’s start guide and FAQ pages helpful.
