Welcome to Week 2

In this week of the course, you’ll explore several different cases where inflammation is at play in chronic disease that is in someone with obesity and being able to use the influence of inflammation and perhaps, the risk of developing diabetes to encourage them to change their diet and to indeed lose weight.

You’ll investigate how you might be able to advise your patients who come in with potentially inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, diabetes, obesity, those types of conditions that are relatively common in our population.

And indeed, you might be able to give people advice about how they can use food as medicine that improves not only their outcome, but reduces their reliance on potentially using medications.
