Let’s keep talking

What's next?

Congratulations on completing Food and Mood.

We hope you enjoyed learning about how the foods we eat affect our mental and brain health, the mechanisms of action between our gut and our brain and the ways in which we can make positive dietary behaviour changes.

This may be the last step in the course, but it won’t be the end of our conversation. Feel free to visit the weeks and steps that you found the most intriguing and explore the research papers.

Published research in this area continues to grow, and with the knowledge gained from the latest and cutting edge studies used in this course, you’ll be able to keep up with the evolving evidence with confidence.

Let’s stay in touch. Be sure to keep up to date with the latest Food and Mood Centre news and research, and follow us on Twitter or follow Tetyana.

It’s been wonderful being on this journey with you. Good luck and best wishes!

If you haven’t yet, would you like to take part in an optional post-course survey for The Food & Mood Centre, Deakin University?

As mentioned in Step 1.1 of this course, The Food & Mood Centre, Deakin University is carrying out research to evaluate the Food and Mood Course.

We’d like to invite all learners aged 18 years and older who have completed the course to take part in an optional survey.

By taking part in this survey, you’ll help us to understand whether participation in this course (the Food and Mood Course) improves nutrition and mental health knowledge and facilitates behavioural change.

We will use the findings to assist us in the development of future educational material. The Food & Mood Centre will use and share only anonymous data collected during the survey.

To take part in the survey please click the link below. It will take you to the Plain Language Statement and Consent Form for further information. The completion of this final post-course survey should take approximately 10 minutes.

Take part in the survey

Your responses will not be linked to your FutureLearn identity or your course activity. Upon the completion of the baseline survey, you will be provided a unique code for the purpose of completing the follow-up survey.

We will also ask you if you wish to provide your email address to participate in further studies on this topic. Summarised (non-identifiable) findings from this research will be disseminated via scientific journals and conferences.
