It’s a great time to reflect on what we covered in the three weeks and answer the question we asked at the start of week 1. How can we optimise mental and brain health through diet and nutrition? We answered the question by understanding the fundamentals of diet and nutrition and mental and brain health and explored the relationship between these two major concepts. We then continued to learn from the experts and their research by digging into the mechanisms of action in diet and mental health and brain health, by looking at inflammation and gut microbiota.

Skip to 0 minutes and 53 seconds In out final week, we’ll look back in details at the Smiles trial and the principles of ModiMed diet and used our knowledge from weeks 1 and 2 to investigate strategies that support realistic, practical, and personalised changes to diet and nutrition to optimise mental and brain health. Throughout the course, we refer to the latest research and the expertise of the leading scholars in the traditional psychiatry as catalysts in this rapidly growing field of research. After the course, I encourage you to continue evaluating to new and emerging evidence and exploring diet and the mental health. I hope you feel confident in answering how to use diet and nutrition to optimise your mental and brain health.
