What comes next: week 3 and beyond

In this week we’ve talked about reward systems and about the concept of food addiction. Some of these themes, especially the ones touched during the previous article, will be discussed again in weeks three and four.

In particular, you will notice how the themes of control and loss of control and restraint are crucial both in eating disorders (such as anorexia nervosa and orthorexia nervosa) and in non-pathological eating behaviours, such as restrained eating. In general, we will discuss how emotion and cognition can have an effect on our eating behaviour, and you’ll have the opportunity to reflect on your emotional eating habits.
