To help you in pursuing an investigation, there are some useful approaches you can use:

The V4P approach to conducting a fraud investigation

V4P stands for ‘Victim, Pursue, Prevent, Protect and Prepare’ and is explained in more detail below.

Victim Working with the victim.
Pursue ​Prosecute, deny assets and dismantle operations.​
Prevent ​Deter people from engaging in economic crime by demonstrating that it does not pay.​
Protect ​Educate the public and businesses to prevent them from becoming victims of economic crime.​
Prepare​ Develop relationships with all sectors to ensure a thorough understanding of the causes and effects of economic crime.
