Q&A: Cataract services

A discussion of the key issues facing cataract services in low- and middle-income settings.

In this live Q&A, recorded during an earlier run of this course, we discuss some of the key issues facing cataract services in low- and middle-income settings. In particular we consider:

  • How can we raise the cataract surgical rate and address the challenge of human resources in eye care?
  • Can we use mobile technology to improve accessibility to eye care services?

The Q&A features Lead Educator and host, Dr Daksha Patel, Professor Allen Foster, Co-Director of the International Centre for Eye Health, and Dr Andrew Bastawrous, Research Fellow in International Eye Health and research lead for Peek Vision.

The video conference was also streamed live on Google+ and YouTube.
