Investigating your topic

Now that you have your research question and you have begun to plan your research strategy, go and investigate your topic further and share what you discover.

Items that you might discover include:

  • academic articles presenting relevant previous research
  • reports either from government or industry bodies
  • web articles discussing your chosen topic

Your task

What did you find? Was the information relevant? Was there too much or too little information and, if so, what will you need to do next (ie will you need to refine your topic area or broaden it out)?

Don’t forget to capture your thinking in your learning log or portfolio.
