Skip to 0 minutes and 8 secondsThis brings us to the end of this FutureLearn course on globalisation. I hope that when you look back now on what you wrote about globalisation in the first week that you feel that you have a broader and deeper understanding of economic globalisation. I also hope that you enjoyed participating in the course. I can assure you that the team here at the Graduate Institute had a great time putting this course together. It was a lot of work, but I hope you share our view that the output was worth it. It is the first course that we've done, but I'm quite sure it won't be the last.

Skip to 0 minutes and 45 secondsMy colleagues here at the Graduate Institute are world class thinkers on international law, international economics, international relations, international history, sociology, and development. They have a great deal of knowledge and insight to offer on topics ranging from gender and development and the international governance of climate change, right through to the law, politics, and history of international terrorism, and basically everything in between. Multi-disciplinarity has been a core value here at the Graduate Institute since we were founded in 1927. Now, more than ever, in today's complex, multicultural, fast changing world, one has to look at a problem from every angle to really understand anything, especially if the goal is to inform policies aimed at making the world a better place.

Skip to 1 minute and 39 secondsHere, we like to think of it as international studies in the service of society. We don't just research issues to understand them. We do it with the goal of making things better. So with that, I'll just close simply by saying thank you for participating.
