Two experiments searching for the nature of dark energy

In this Focus, in the form of an article to download (see below), we welcome Steven Kahn, director of the Large Synoptic Survey (LSST) telescope, and Yannick Mellier, head of the Euclid space mission of the European Space Agency (ESA), two of the major experiments which will be searching for the nature of dark energy in the 2020s. Both of them give us their point of view on this search, and discuss how their respective instruments will address the challenges of this ambitious programme.
