Next week

The exploration of Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales continues.

Now that we have learned about the actantial model and the home-away-home structure and have started to use them in practice, we will continue next week in the same way, gaining new insights into Hans Christian Andersen’s way of rewriting the folk tale.

Professor Ivy York Möller-Christensen, one of our educators on this course will take us into Week 3 of Hans Christian Andersen’s Fairy Tales, in which we will look more closely at the language, the style and the structure of ‘The Spectre’ and ‘The Travelling Companion’ – compared to the folk tale ‘The Riddle’.
